43rd Annual Weld Legacy Foundation Golf Tournament

We invite you to join us by participating as a corporate sponsor at one of the most distinguished golf fundraising events in our community. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Heart Safe City through the purchase and deployment of life-saving automated external defibrillators (AED’s) to businesses and entities throughout our community.

In 2012, the Weld Legacy Foundation partnered with the City of Greeley, Greeley Fire Department, Banner North Colorado Medical Center Paramedic Services, and NCMC’s CardioVascular Institute in the Heart Safe City initiative. The Heart Safe City designation is a community-wide effort to educate citizens on the dangers of sudden cardiac arrest. Identifying symptoms, learning how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and using automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are major components of the Heart Safe City designation.

The Heart Safe City initiative also called for the placement of AEDs in public gathering spots throughout our community. These easy-to-use AEDs are equipped with simple step-by-step user instructions. In 2013, Greeley became the second city in Colorado to officially earn the Heart Safe City distinction.
